Microsoft Windows 8 introduces Windows Store apps (formerly known as Metro apps), which can be built with a variety of programming languages. In this course, David Gassner shows you how to pair XAML with Visual Basic to build a simple data-driven application. He provides a tour of the free Visual Studio 2012 Express for Windows 8 and runs through a few Hello World exercises before demonstrating how to perform most of the basic app programming tasks with XAML and Visual Basic.
