�Songs are like memories. They can be vivid and clear or hazy and hard to grasp. When asked to come up with a selection of tracks that were worthy of the term �Vintage�, my first thought was to choose songs that have left a lasting impression. Songs that were special and could be linked together not through chronological order but because they all shone with class and character, burning a permanent home on the walls of this DJ�s addled mind.�

So begins the description of the eclectic musical journey that is �vintage� bargrooves. The track listing speaks for itself, and it would be churlish to try and pick �standout� tracks from such a high profile collection of artists. In the course of 74 minutes, we time-travel from 1969 to 2001 and all points in between, from proto-disco to folk-rock to psychedelic soul, to the just plain genre-defying. This collection is a one-of-a-kind release and, via word of mouth and a strategic marketing campaign, it will reach out to a very broad cross section of music lovers.
